Added value comes in a promotional 'As Seen on TV' social post that leads up to and/or follows. An influencer with 50k followers that gets 400-500 likes and a handful of comments may not been seen as valuable as one that gets 2k+ likes and 40 comments.

 

The typical 1% rule - if an influencer has an average or above average engagement, the rate for one post is 1% of their following (e.g. 50k=$500). Also take into an account that sometimes less is more. Some influencers may have less followers but their followers may be more engaged and niche.
