Take some time for yourself and work on you! It's important that you allow yourself to heal, go to therapy, go on a BREAK-UP GETAWAY™ with a friend or alone. Going alone is super bold and if you can do it, I would suggest going for it!

Work on your personal brand! Get a complete makeover, revamp your brand, get new clothes, hair, makeup style, wardrobe, etc. This is your way to break into the new and break away from old. You are transforming into a new person! Your soul is in a transition phase!

Get out there but not so fast! Work on yourself and do all of the above for at least 6 months to a year. This depends on how your relationship went awry, and how many years were you were emotionally detached before all came to an end. This determines when you should start dating again. Once you determine this, you can start getting out there! You really don’t want to throw you baggage on everyone!

Find your “type”! Don’t look for the perfect relationship right away. You want to start dating different people at this time and online dating is great for this. You can date a variety of people and meet lots of people this way. Your taste in the type of person you are attracted to will have changed and you can only determine this by dating a ton of people. Your taste will have change due to age and this is a good thing! You are much wiser now!

It makes sense to do this if you were in a long term relationship (10-30 plus years). Remember, this time around you want to have a soul connection with someone. Someone who makes you feel truly comfortable and true to yourself!
Having satisfying relationships is essential for your mental and physical well-being.
